I’ll meet with you (virtually) to understand what you are looking for. I will then create a website with the latest technologies to meet your needs. The goal of this website would be to make information about your company and products accessible and marketable online. We will also setup an e-commerce section for you to take orders for your products and services directly on the website. For your website I think Squarespace will offer the best platform and give you all the functionality that you need. They offer a flexible platform and can support adding other features down the road. There is also an option to link this to a Square reader to sell directly from the website in-person (good for trade shows!). Squarespace also offers the ability to print shipping labels for USPS as a part of the Basic Commerce plan. You can read more about the service here: Buy and Print shipping labels. If USPS shipping isn’t enough, we can also integrate with a 3rd party vendor called ShipStation for more shipping options, you can read about that offering here: Connecting Squarespace to ShipStation
I will do the initial design and construction of the site and then review the work to ensure it meets your expectations. We can start with a blank canvas or with one of the templates above, and customize it for your business. Of course, I will be available to help answer questions along the way if you have them. Once the website is ready for launch, I will also provide trainings (or how-to videos) for you to learn how to work with the and update the site.
Most importantly, you will own your website. I will teach you how to update your content and make changes. The only recurring fee is the hosting service, that you pay directly to Squarespace. I think it will be best to start you on the basic commerce plan with Squarespace, as you don’t need any of the advanced commerce features (you can always upgrade later). Additional details on available Squarespace plans can be found on their Pricing page. There are no recurring fees from me. Of course, I will be available to help and answer questions if you have them.
Optional service to setup professional E-mail from Google or Microsoft. I can also help you setup a professional e-mail to go along with your website and domain name (for example; firstname.lastname@example.org). With the Squarespace platform, you can get 1 year free for a single Google Workspace account. It would then be $6/month per user. If you would prefer to link your e-mail to a Microsoft Office 365 account we can do that as well. There is no free initial offer from Microsoft, but their plans start at $5/month per user.
After commitment from you, I expect the initial work to be able to be completed in approximately 2-3 weeks. The initial work is expected to take about 1 1/2 weeks, at which point I will do a design review with you. After the design review, I plan 1-2 weeks to make any necessary changes, finishing uploading content, and getting ready the site for launch. All this work can be done remotely via Zoom meetings, which I can host and schedule.
Project can be started with a written commitment by RoczToyz to this proposal (e-mail is sufficient).
** Payment terms for the web design services shall be two payments of $875. The first due after the website is launched (late December) and the second due 1 month later (late January). Terms are negotiable.
